Vincent Luyendijk (Treasurer)

Vincent began his career as an entrepreneur right after finishing business school. He now heads his own creative company, IN10, which is aimed at developing effective and meaningful brand experiences for its clients.

Frans Blanchard (Secretary)

Frans is the current head of the Dutch Association of Advertising Agencies (VEA) and combines this with a position on the supervisory board of Simavi, one of the oldest NGO’s in the Netherlands committed to poverty relief and the promotion of primary healthcare in developing countries.

Robert Swan OBE (Recommendation)

By age 33 Robert became the first person to walk to both the North and South Poles. His 900-mile journey to the South Pole, ‘In The Footsteps of Scott stands as the longest unassisted walk ever made on Earth. Three years after reaching the South Pole, Robert became the first man to walk to both Poles when his expedition ‘Ice Walk‘ reached its destination at the North Pole.

When Michiel told him about Cycle for Water, Robert replied: ‘It would be an honor to be on your Board, your plan sounds excellent and we should try to get you to the Antarctic when you arrive in Ushuaia‘.

Professor John Anthony Allan (Recommendation)

Professor Allan is a leading voice and one of the most influential thinkers in the water sector today. During his career he pioneered the development of key concepts in the understanding of water issues and how they link to agriculture, climate change, economics and politics. For introducing the concept of ‘virtual water‘ in the debate he received the prestigious Stockholm Water Prize in 2008.

When Joost discussed Cycle for Water with him, Professor Allan responded: ‘The project is based on a clever and original concept that can only inspire everyone with its ambition and physical demands’.
