How do you say goodbye to all your friends, family and other loved ones to go cycling for 18 months…. That’s tough no matter how cool, calm and collected you might think you are, but this is what we’ve been doing for the past two weeks or so.
Last Friday, the 18th, Joost and I went to Arnhem to pick up the bamboo bicycles which were built up by Frank, the owner of Pennekamp Fietsen.
Dear Toni,
I hope this note finds you well. While clearing out some of my stuff today I came across a little post-it with your email address scribbled on it, so I decided to write to you.
It’s Thursday now,
17 days to go until we leave the Netherlands and fly to Anchorage, Alaska. Times are getting exciting now. Making a lot of phone calls to get everything sorted out; sponsors, partners, gear, insurance etc. With just over two more weeks left, it still feels a bit unreal that we are leaving our friends and loved ones for one year and a half…
